Diversity Practice Project

London First, with the Westminster Business School, conducted a research project looking at the practical experiences of leading companies in implementing diversity strategies.  Our aim was to accelerate learning in diversity business practice, through the sharing of valuable, practical examples of initiatives employed by pioneering organisations.

The scope of the project covered ethnicity, gender and disability primarily, with other diversity strands of age, sexual orientation and faith touched on.  The research looks at policies and initiatives in recruitment, retention and promotion of staff, and the obstacles affecting their implementation.

Learning points, illustrated by case studies, form the basis of the report available to employers, practitioners and academic audiences, launched in May 2008.
