The London First London Biotechnology Network brings together 2300 members from 1000 organisations in the bioscience sector to:London Biotechnology Network

  • debate key issues affecting the future development of London’s world-class biotechnology sector, via monthly meetings 
  • provide opportunities to bring London together with other biotechnology clusters, both in the UK and overseas
  • showcase London companies seeking investment to the venture capital community
  • respond to enquiries from inward investors seeking new business opportunities in London
  • negotiate special rates with suppliers such as business intelligence providers, conference organisers and journal publishers

London Biotechnology Network activities include

Genesis – the UK’s leading biotechnology conference
Now in its seventh year, the annual Genesis conference is the London Biotechnology Network’s premier event. It attracts over 800 delegates and exhibitors from the UK and overseas, with presentations from industry leaders, a technology showcase and on-line partnering facilities. Genesis is an excellent opportunity to keep up to date with recent developments in the industry, forge new business relationships and raise awareness of your company to potential partners and investors.

LBN Career Track - aimed at emerging biopharma professionals, this initiative seeks to increases awareness of career opportunities in the sector.  As well as regular, targeted events, we offer a 1-2-1-mentoring scheme and links with The Source careers conference, led by Nature Publishing Group.

The London Biotechnology Network was established by London First in 2000 and is now co-sponsored by the LDA. We work with the LDA, supporting the Bio-London programme of activity including trade support, inward investment and lobbying.
